Nia Luckey and I just sat down for the third time on the podcast.
And this one hit different.
Her first two episodes, we talked about her story, her growth, her wins. This time, we went somewhere we hadn't gone before; inside the actual coaching relationship itself.
Two years of working together!
During that time, Nia has landed a TEDx talk, grew her personal brand, spoke at conferences as a keynote speaker and panel expert, was invited on podcasts, had a major career promotion, and a book deal!
But the biggest transformation wasn't any of that.
It was how she got her sense of self and confidence back!
Here's what I believe: the outward wins are proof of the inward shift, not the other way around.
I don't try to be the coach for everyone. I'm upfront about that.
I'm spiritual, and we go deep. I believe you as a human being have inherent worth and value because you were created in the image of God...not because of what you accomplish, not because of the stage you stand on, not because of the deal you land. Because you are valuable and created on purpose.
A coach can give you accountability. A coach can help you cross the finish line. But a coach cannot want it more than you want it for yourself. This is why I don't work with everyone. I work with the ones ready for transformation; not just a goal.
That was the real conversation with Nia.
Not"how did you get the TEDx talk or a book deal?"
But"how did you get to a place where you believed you were worthy of going after it?"
Because it was never really about wanting something. We all want things.
It's about being confident enough to go after it and taking massive amounts of action toward your dreams and doing the inner work when no one is watching.
